One of our best-kept secrets in San Diego is that it’s home to over 120 breweries and is considered one of the top brewing cities in the nation. The city is known particularly for its India Pale Ale which was pioneered in San Diego County. IPA, as it’s known around here, is extra rich in hops and tends to have a higher alcohol content. There are also multitudes of specialty crafted beers that are represented in the dozens of breweries in San Diego that range from tiny operations to mega-facilities offering a full range of tasting and touring opportunities. If you live in San Diego or are here for a visit, don’t miss the world-famous brewing scene in our area.
